Lumber dimensions. Normally I cut 1.25 inch thick so when it dries and changes shape as it usually does. You will end up with at least 3/4 inch thick flat finished lumber after planing.  I of course cut 2" and bigger thicknesses. We decide on how each log is cut before we start.
